How to Resolve Being Unable to Receive or Send Emails

Issue: The mailbox is full, which is preventing you from receiving or sending emails.

Resolution: The Deleted Items folder will need to be emptied. So you need to right click on the Deleted Items folder, and click on Empty Folder.

Also, any unnecessary emails in the Inbox, Sent Items and Drafts folder should also be deleted, and then the Deleted Items folder emptied again.

You can check the mailbox storage by going to Settings > General > Storage. To get a better overview, you can log in to the web version of Outlook and clean your mailbox here. You can log into Outlook here:

https://outlook.office365.com/

Alternatively, if you do not wish to delete and empty the mailbox, you can upgrade your mailbox storage with a new licence. For this, you will need to speak with your management

Issue: The mailbox is not full, but you are still unable to receive or send emails (some sent emails may be waiting in the Outbox)

Resolution: Your device may need a restart. Please make sure to save any documents or work you may have open before restarting the device.
